Devin Sherrington

NATA, PTS Can-Fit-Pro, BA English / Philosophy, Saint Francis Xavier University

I’m is a Master Trainer and I’ve been involved in fitness my entire life, and a trainer for more than 20 years.  My passion for exercise in fitness started with basketball, football and track in high school.

I played football for Saint Francis Xavier University and became a personal trainer there while earning two degrees.

I’ve competed in three bodybuilding competitions and strong man competitions.

I’ve worked as trainer for Football University, the Team Nova Scotia Canada Games Swim, Atlantic Tennis Elite Under 14 Team, Scotia Soccer, Fall River Minor Football and the Lockview Dragons Football team. I have extensive background in sport dry land training and have worked with pro and semi pro athletes at all levels.

I’ve also been the fitness expert for CBC Radio Noon, CBC TV Living Halifax, APTN’s The Candy Show, and I’m the former fitness columnist for The Daily News for three years.

I’ve trained for a number of Hollywood celebrities including Eric Dane, Kate Beckinsale, Sam Rockwell, Ron Pealman, Flex Alexander and Rossif Sutherland.

People always ask me why I’m in such a good mood at work and I always answer the same… this is my favorite thing to do!

Julie Dinn

In January 2009 I had my first session with a personal trainer, he really put me through my paces and made me realize just how out of shape I was and how much work I had ahead of me. For me, the most important part of having a trainer is the accountability. If I didn’t have someone giving me  new/interesting workouts and encouraging me every step of the way I may have given up (like I had many times before).

I was introduced to kettlebells through my trainer. I was a little skeptical of them at first, they look like a cannonball with a handle and I wasn’t sure what to do with it. I quickly learned just a few of the many, many exercises possible and was definitely convinced that they work. After using kettlebells for over a year I’m in the best shape of my life. I’m strong, I feel fit, and I’ve lost more than 60lbs! When used properly kettlebells give you an awesome fat-burning workout that targets your entire body. It is definitely a cardio workout but because you’re also using a weight for resistance you are actually building muscle while you’re burning fat and your metabolism will increase significantly.

Kettlebells and exercise have really changed my life, I feel like there are so many more opportunities open to me now. I commute on a bike as much as possible, I recently tried rock climbing, I go for long hikes – when I was heavier and inactive these things wouldn’t have seemed possible to me. Now I want to help others and motivate them to reach their fitness potential. I have been certified as a Kettlebell Instructor through Agatsu and as a Nutrition & Wellness Specialist and Personal Trainer Specialist through Can Fit Pro.

Pat is a Master Trainer with an impressive track record of helping clients achieve
their fitness goals. He has helped elite athletes improve their performance and
inspired beginners to get results they never imagined.

Pat uses a multidimensional approach – a combination of science and psychology.
With a BSc in kinesiology, he has a thorough understanding exercise physiology.
This scientific knowledge forms the basis of his training programs.

A firm believer in the value of good nutrition, Pat draws on his formal education in
nutrition to advise his clients on healthy eating – a big part of the fitness equation.

He also believes that working out in a positive state leads to greater results. He
structures his classes to allow his clients to find ways of pushing themselves harder.

His group classes are high-energy, fun, incorporating the latest training and
monitoring techniques.

A lifelong competitive athlete, Pat’s passion for fitness developed as a result of an
injury. When a badly fractured collarbone sidelined his hockey career, he began
serious training. He gained over 30 lbs of muscle and increased his lung capacity.

In the process, he learned to love to push his body to the max. And he became
obsessed with how the human body responds to exercise. He knows it works
because it’s worked for him. It’s worked for hundreds of his clients. And it can work
for you.

Liz Cole

After completing my first marathon in January 2001 I decided to make fitness a major part of my life. I wanted to help others not make the mistakes I made, and I wanted to share my passion for health and fitness.

Since then I have completed more than ten fitness certifications and completed hundreds of hours of one on one and group training classes. I joined 360fit because I wanted to be part of a team which believed in health and fitness as much as I do!

I am committed to clients the same way I am to having a healthy life style myself. Together we set your goals and move forward to bring successful results. I believe in setting small goals which add up to big ones!
